Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain API and backend automation frameworks using Scala/Java and related testing libraries.
• Build comprehensive functional, integration, and regression tests for REST/HTTP-based backend services.
• Test service-to-service integrations involving multiple upstream and downstream services.
• Validate API contracts and generated clients based on OpenAPI/Smithy specifications.
• Investigate test failures across local, QA, and CI environments and identify whether issues are related to application changes, test data, dependencies, or infrastructure.
• Integrate automated tests into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot pipeline failures.
• Work with Maven/SBT, Docker, Docker Compose, and containerized test environments.
• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and service owners to understand requirements and convert them into automated test scenarios.
• Review code and test changes through Git-based workflows, including branching, rebasing, conflict resolution, and pull requests.
